Longmont “______” Week
There is a lot to celebrate about Longmont, and the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to be involved both in producing and co-organizing two events this year that are built for our community. From food to financing your startup, drinks to deepfake technology and its implications, the Longmont Chamber is working hard to bring you experiences that will open your minds and your mouths.
Longmont Restaurant Week is fast approaching, coming up on March 29. For ten days, restaurants and more all across town will feature special menus at a pre-fixe price. Last year, we organized the first Longmont Restaurant Week with a thematic price point that honored the year Longmont was founded: $18.71. This year, we are happy to say that we will be not only returning with the $18.71 menu price, but including a 2nd tier price point of $28.71.
Why the additional price point? Last year, we saw restaurants give us their all and produce some amazing and delicious plates for us, but we learned from them following the event that while they were able to deliver, they wanted more leeway to really showcase what they can do. This $28.71 menu is not required for restaurants to present, but we hope that in adding this as an option, we see even more extraordinary deals come our way.
Interestingly, though truly a testament to our community, we also heard from diners that they wanted to pay more if they had the chance of not only getting a better deal, but fully experiencing a restaurant without making venues break the bank to participate in Longmont Restaurant Week.
The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is also excited to be involved as co-organizers of Longmont Startup Week. Now in its 5th year, the Longmont Chamber event director (and author of this post) is leading the charge on lining up content for entrepreneurs, developers, designers, and tech-junkies for the event. Longmont Startup Week, July 22-26, is being built in partnership with some amazing organizations in town, including our economic partner Longmont EDP, Avocet Communications, and Startup Longmont.
Attendees of Longmont Startup Week can expect 5 days full of free, educational content that not only challenges the way they think, build, and scale their businesses, but provides actionable takeaways and strong personal connections. The event will be a mix of a traditional startup week format and will incorporate new elements to tantalize your brain. Keep up to date on Longmont Startup Week developments on Facebook.
Planning and executing two events that run for a combined total of 15 days is a fun challenge and just a little exhausting. Maybe next year, we should just have a “Longmont Week”.
