The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is pleased to announce its first internship funded through the committee’s Education Fund. Chamber member FastSigns Longmont has partnered with the committee and St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) to host Niwot High School junior Aditya “Adi” Bhushan.

Adi was chosen from several SVVSD applicants. He remarked, “This internship through the LACC will help provide me with valuable work experience to prepare me for the future.”

The Education Committee, chaired next year by Columbine Elementary teacher Jennifer Giles, strives to connect industry and community businesses with the students, teachers and staff of St. Vrain Valley Schools, Front Range Community College and other institutions. SVVSD Superintendent Don Haddad, Ed.D., said, “St. Vrain Valley Schools remains committed to providing real-world, work experiences for our students. We’re proud to partner with the Education Committee of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce and their members to develop future opportunities.”

Lauri Shropshire of FastSigns said, “We are excited to host the first high school intern through the Longmont Chamber Education Committee. Adi has already started and is a great fit with our team. This internship is a wonderful opportunity for a student to get real life skills and experience, with solid mentorship focused on their growth and development. We look forward to supporting Adi and continuing to work with the Education Committee to provide more opportunities like this to our community.”
