Our Mission
Quality education opportunities are an important part of any community. The Longmont Chamber Education Committee creates programs that allow students to gain authentic work experiences, think like entrepreneurs, and develop into community leaders. As Longmont grows, more resources for young entrepreneurs become available. Our work connects students with those resources to improve their understanding of critical business concepts and to shape ideas into reality.
Goals & Initiatives
We currently have three programs in place to support our mission of preparing future leaders to have a meaningful impact on our community:
- Chamber Student Network
The first program of its kind, CSN is a networking and educational program designed and facilitated by students for students. - Leadership Longmont
Each year, the Education Committee and St. Vrain Valley School District partner to sponsor two high school students to participate. This six-month Chamber program provides professional development to help future business leaders hone their skills and connect them to the most influential leaders in our community. - Internships
We place student interns with local business to give them real-world experience while businesses gain much needed talent.
Community support is vital to sustaining these programs. Just as we grow internships and activities for entrepreneurs, the Chamber cultivates networking groups and events that promote community awareness and leadership.
Support Our Mission!
We’re looking for community partners to invest in our current goals and objectives:
Sponsor a Student Internship
Your donation of $500 or more will sponsor a student intern, helping them receive valuable career experience and school credit!
Student Entrepreneurship
Your donation will support students as they build, launch, and grow startup businesses in the Innovate Campus Accelerator Program
Student Uplift Fund
Uplift funds are used to support work-based learning opportunities with local organizations, foster student leadership in the community, and more.
Internships
Each year the education committee supports summer internships for students to connect with local businesses. Internships are open to students of the St. Vrain Valley School District.
Check back for internship opportunities! More will be added next semester.
