Astrid is thrilled to return to FRCC, saying, “My professional development began through Front Range Community College (FRCC) and The Chamber Student Network (CSN). Thanks to my advisors, Dr. Chris McGilvray and Jim Vernon at the CSN, my public speaking, writing, and leadership skills flourished. I was able to become a leader amongst my peers and even excel in my academics and professional career. Today I have the opportunity to continue learning from Chris at the School of MACT at FRCC and continue my passion for education and supporting the Hispanic and Latinx community in Boulder County.”
Dr. Chris McGilvray added, “Community involvement has always been a priority for Astrid, volunteering for the Latino Chamber of Commerce, Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Student Network. Astrid was also a member of the Student Government Association while enrolled at Front Range Community College in Boulder County.
