With heartfelt appreciation, we announce the departure of Karen Stallard, our Chief Operating Officer, who has given over eight years of service, energy, and vision to the Longmont Chamber. Karen’s contributions have left an undeniable mark on our organization and our community.

Karen's deep passion for Longmont has been evident in every project she's taken on since starting at the Chamber, from helping to create one of the largest recurring community festivals in Longmont to spearheading the initiative to call nearly 700 businesses during the height of the pandemic. Her strategic leadership and commitment have played a pivotal role in strengthening the Chamber's mission and enhancing our operations.

Karen has a rare ability to see the connections that will have the most meaningful, positive impact on our community. Perhaps her most significant contribution to our organization has been how she redefined the relationship between businesses and the Longmont Chamber, emphasizing creative collaboration with partners and members to build a stronger, more unique, and more intentional network within our community of Proud Longmonsters. (It's worth noting, too, that the Proud Longmonster design you may be familiar with grew from Karen's idea to create a visual identity that embodies the heart and character of Longmont’s people.)

Karen will soon be joining UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation as their Foundation Operations Officer, where she will continue to make a meaningful impact. We are excited about her new journey, thankful for her time at the Chamber and send her off with our best wishes.

The Unity Fund is funded through Unity in the Community drink sales in partnership with The Longmont Community Foundation and High Plains Bank. The Chamber remains committed to fostering a thriving, compassionate community through meaningful partnerships and impactful financial support.

The 2nd Annual State of the City event is an invaluable opportunity to connect directly with Longmont’s key public officials. The State of the City provides you with a unique chance to stay informed and engaged with the issues that impact your business and the broader Longmont community. Leadership Longmont is a course of study designed to educate current and aspiring leaders about the critical issues and opportunities facing the community. A group of 20-25 individuals from business, government, education and non-profit organizations are selected to participate.

The program provides opportunities that are otherwise inaccessible to the public, including tours of municipal facilities and direct connections to decision-makers across several industries.
