You’ve seen the long, luxurious and tempting red satin ribbon, signifying something new. You’ve envied holding the over-sized brass scissors that with one swift cut will welcome a new business to town. What is the big deal with ribbon cuttings?
Here are 10 Things you may not have known about a Longmont Chamber ribbon cutting:
- They are free! Ribbon cuttings are included as a part of your membership.
- The Longmont Chamber provides the giant ribbon and scissors, and we’ll help you through the ceremony.
- They aren’t just for Grand Openings. Ribbon cuttings can be cut for anniversaries, new staff members, remodeled spaces, or simply for joining the Chamber!
- We make you look good! We send a staff member to introduce you to your adoring fans and to take pictures of the event so you can use them for marketing later.
- Longmont Chamber staff, ambassador volunteers, board members, and fellow members are all invited to ribbon cuttings.
- You can invite local city council members and the mayor of Longmont. Just send an invitation to the city manager’s office.
- They take place (generally speaking) on Tuesdays and Thursday at 4:00 PM. You can always check the Longmont Chamber event calendar for details.
- They are fantastic networking opportunities. Businesses from all over the city and from various industries are opening their doors and sharing their story. Not only are they fun, but they can lead to business relationships down the road.
